A machine’s CE certificate of conformity must be issued by the crane’s manufacturer, and it is usually found among the paperwork delivered by the reseller along with the user manual and maintenance guide.
The report of suitability for use consists of certification of checks carried out with static tests (maximum load + 25%) and dynamic tests. Usually this involves a form (in triplicate) that is found inside the machine’s audit log, and that must be completed by whoever carries out the crane’s initial assembly and testing. The original stays in the log, and the two copies are given to the installing company and the manufacturer.
The declaration of correct execution of the installation must be issued by whoever assembles the machine. In the case of Imola Gru Srl, the declaration can be found inside the report of implementation that is always completed by the technician on site in triplicate.
Certification of suitability of position must be carried out by a competent, authorised person (an engineer, surveyor or geologist) and aims to guarantee that the position designated for the placement of the crane is suitable for supporting the weight and the strain produced by lifting equipment.
Certification of the grounding system of the construction site must be carried out by a competent, authorised person (a certified electrician).
