Once again, the technicians from the lifting team (mobile cranes and crawler cranes) stood out for their skills and professionalism during a high-speed intervention on Vernazza’s Grove GMK 7450.
The model in question is the biggest, most complicated and most expensive in the Grove GMK range, and Vernazza’s machine is also outfitted to the maximum: a true technological giant.
Its measurements and payload are impressive:
- A 79 metre luffing jib
- A mounted megalift
- 160 tonnes of ballast
- A 50 metre telescopic boom
The intervention involved the luffing jib and the megalift, and was carried out at the ILVA plant in Genoa. After a quick verification and modification to the machine’s electronics, the operators were able to return to work with maximum efficiency and safety.
