Società Italiana per Condotte d’Acqua Spa is carrying out an important project, with the aim of controlling the tides in the Venetian Lagoon. A Manitowoc Ringer 60, a lattice boom crane mounted on circular tracks on top of a barge, is being used to position poles with high precision (using GPS devices) for the construction of a barrier.
Imola Gru took part in this ambitious endeavour, providing technical assistance for the machine and carrying out surveys to assist with the operation.
Cranes of this type, with these configurations, are very rare in Italy: Imola Gru is proud of our technicians, Roberto and Mirco, for the high quality of their work.
