A mission to Egypt to work on a Manitowoc 2250 lattice boom crane

After a trip to Croatia for an intervention on a 18000, the Imola Gru staff flew to Egypt for another intervention on a lattice boom crane. This time it was a Manitowoc 2250, a machine that boasts a 300 tonne payload, a boom over 90 metres long and a luffing jib extension of 120 metres. An extremely flexible machine, whose variety of configurations make it ideal for a wide range of operations.

The reported problem with the machine was that the luffing jib wasn’t working correctly, and it was promptly resolved by the Imola Gru technician, who carried out all of the functional checks and calibrations necessary for the correct functioning of the crane, both on the components of the motor and winch, and on the parts of the boom.

There are already two new missions abroad scheduled for the Imola company, this time to carry out works on tower cranes. The destinations are Algeria, and the rather climatically unwelcoming Ural Mountains, where the thermometer shows -30°!
