Another challenge has been overcome by Imola Gru.
Yesterday, four specialised technicians were requested to carry out the urgent dismantling of a Potain GME MC 58 tower crane.
The construction site was encountering structural problems due to landslides and water seepage in the area where the crane was positioned, and although the latter was level, it was necessary to proceed with caution and immediately dismantle the crane.
The difficult intervention was successfully completed, following a different procedure from usual, designed ad hoc in order to avoid any problems with the crane’s instability.
Two mobile cranes supported the operation, coordinated by technicians who were therefore equipped to simultaneously dismantle components from both sides of the machine. While they proceeded with the removal of the camber blocks using the first mobile crane, the second supported the boom in order not to overload it and create too much concentrated pressure in the ground at the base of the crane. Then, the subsequent steps to dismantle the Potain were carried out with high precision, with successful results. In the end, the crane was taken down in less than two hours, with no problems caused for the construction site.
A team of technicians, two mobile cranes, many years of experience and preparation for interventions: the Imola Gru formula for customer satisfaction in all circumstances.
