Renova, the Imola Gru department dedicated to the overhaul of mobile cranes, construction cranes and industrial cranes, has completed its biggest operation this year, in terms of the human resources required and the scope of the operation, with a TEN-YEAR INSPECTION.
The protagonist was a Terex-Comedil CTL 400-18 slewing tower crane, to which the Renova team was completely committed, applying the necessary precision and attention to every part of the inspection of this tower crane, from the dismantling of every single piece to the overhaul of all its mechanisms. Every intervention was carried out with the professionalism and care necessary to guarantee a long and efficient working life for the crane.
With its unique characteristics, the machine has been a central part of many large construction sites over the years, and it is precisely due to the hard work and large load cycles it has undertaken that this period of inspection and renovation was necessary.
Overhauling a crane requires an understanding of its current structural condition after its intense activity over many years.
With this in mind, the Renova team, collaborating with the most important institutions for inspection and overhauling and making use of the most precise, cutting-edge technical equipment on the market, carried out an in-depth Magnetic Particle Inspection in order to allow the machine to return to work with the same guarantees of strength and stability as before.
Well done to the ReNova team – another target hit!
