On the eve of our 25th anniversary of operations, during the Christmas period, Imola Gru will crown its own journey of reconversion towards growth and development with a prestigious
\nassignment on board the biggest crane ship in the world, the Saipem 7000, the flagship of a contractor in the ENI group, sailing in the Black Sea.
\nAfter their 2013 mission on board the Castoro II, another vessel in the Saipem fleet, the technicians from Imola will face a new off-shore challenge, carrying out a mega-servicing on the biggest semi-submersible crane ship in the world: 198 metres by 87 metres (the equivalent of two floating football fields at a height of 50 metres) and a lifting capacity of 1400 tonnes.
\nThis concludes Imola Gru’s intense activity over the last three years, turning towards converting our turnover from the construction sector into work with other sectors that are going in a decidedly different direction from the crisis in construction. This way, the total volume of our business coming from general contractors around the world has gone from 34% to 73%. We have worked with
\nSaipem, large engineering companies such as Rosetti Marino, Italian multinationals such as Marcegaglia and the Danieli group from Udine, and at the same time consolidated older collaborations with leading companies in the territory such as Sacmi and Cefla.
\nThis conversion process has been possible thanks to the commitment of everyone in the company: from the technicians to the management, passing through a well-structured business operation. A demanding challenge, that has required
\nimplementation of know-how for approaching new sectors, and an organisation capable of responding efficiently to ever-more complex requests. All of this was supported by investments in technology, which have led to the development of cutting-edge tools that make the most of connections with mobile devices – a unique choice in the service sector.<\/p>\n
